Relief Measures in the Wake of COVID-19 Outbreak

The Government of India in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak has addressed the issues faced by the Trade and Industry and thereby announced certain relief measures.
We have hereinbelow summarized key reliefs under Indirect Taxes announced by the Government of India:
- The due date for filing GSTR 3B return due in the month of March, April and May 2020:

- Date of GST annual return has been extended upto 30 June 2020 (refer Notification 15/2020 – Central Tax dated 23 March 2020)
- Due date for issue of notice, notification, approval order, sanction order filing of appeal, furnishing of return, statement, application, reports etc under GST law where the time limit is expring between 20 March 2020 to 29 June 2020 will be extended upto 29 June 2020
- Payment date under Sabka Vishwas Scheme will be extended to 30 June 2020. No interest will be charged if paid within the extended due date i.e. 30 June 2020
- 24X7 Customs clearance upto 30 June 2020
